Based in San Diego since 2021, Destination Baby Co. has served over 700 local and traveling families. The company is family founded by Josh and Kara Plummer and their growing family on the basis of passion for exploring the world and creating memorable experiences together with your little ones. From first hand experience, we understand the many challenges that come along with parenthood.

Our initial service offering, renting baby gear, grew exponentially within the first few months. During this time the need for other services became apparent. In addition to renting baby gear, we now offer baby gear cleaning and sitter services.

Our mission is to help families live, travel, and grow freely. We want to help provide the tools necessary to make traveling with kids fun, safe, and easy. Not only do we want to see local families flourish but also local businesses. That is why we partner with local companies supporting families and mothers.

To be your local expert on all things kids. From knowledge on baby gear, educating families on the importance of safety, as well as helping give back time to spend with loved ones. We want to build a place where people can come to find and discover anything they might need or want regarding kids.
The team behind the magic
Destination Baby Co is family founded and operated. The founders, Josh and Kara, have a passion for exploring the world and creating memorable experiences together. This passion started prior to the addition of their daughter, Emery, in 2021. They have made it a goal to continue traveling and showing Emery the world. In her first year of life, she has been on over 20 plane rides and several road trips.

From first hand experience, they understand the challenges that come along with traveling with a little one. Do we need to lug our bulky gear through the airport? Where will our baby sleep? How can we attend a baby-free activity such as a wedding? These challenges led to the creation of Destination Baby Co.
